Ghana Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwabla Akonnor has expressed worry on the rampant negative vilifications related to his job as the national team head coach.

He bluntly stated that his target as the senior national team head coach is to qualify to Afcon, do our best and win after so many years and finally gain qualification to 2022 world cup and do well.

“I think let’s be pleased with what we have, Ghanaians have been very positive, some have been negative but in all form, I will take it in good faith. What I need are continuous support and prayers for us to achieve success. Now we have all been worried about the fact that we have failed to win the Afcon for quite some time now, that’s our challenge. That’s our dream and goal to achieve it. I can’t do it alone, we need everyone’s support. We won’t do it once we haven’t prepared well for the occasion and so yes criticize but criticize positively so that I can learn good from it, if you criticize negative and am not able to get anything good from it then we don’t benefit from anybody. Let’s support with vim, let’s be positive, bring back the love which our president made that slogan good. I believe that if we are all positive with a good mindset, things will change positively”. He told Kumasi based Kessben fm.

The former Ghana Black stars skipper has led the senior national team to 4 games which he has won 2 against Qatar and Sudan and trailed in 2 games to Mali in international friendly and Sudan in Afcon qualifiers.
