Sunyani, the capital town of the Bono region has fed the country with dozen sports talents and still counting. Hence, it beat imagination how the state has denied the people of Sunyani, standard stadium and the existing coronation park has been left to dilapidate.
The park was renovated, 14 years ago before CAN 2008 hosted by Ghana, to serve as a training centre for some countries.
Stands of renovated Accra and Kumasi sports stadium were transferred to renovate Sunyani coronation park in 2007.
Since then, the park used by some top Bono clubs as home grounds and Senior High Schools for their ritual inter colleges games has been left to dilapidate.
I’m afraid,if nothing is done to the dilapidated Sunyani coronation park, a calamity might happen.
