It was the last action of the 2023/2024 Betpawa Premier League matchday 1 Sunday games as Kumasi Asante Kotoko hosted new entries Kpando Hearts of Lions at the Kumasi sports stadium under floodlight.
A game of many expectations was underway as many fans for the Porcupine Warriors turned up at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tonight. Also in expectant was the second coming of coach Prosper Nartey Ogum to the club and the recruitment of very young players amid to build a formidable side for the future.
The game started as the home side dominated the majority share of the first department as they managed to exercise their authority over new babies Hearts of Lions.
The second department was however a ding dong afair as both parties shared spoils at the end of the 90 minutes stipulated time. The Lions return home with a point from Kumasi.
The last round of games is set to come off on Wednesday as Medeama SC and Dreams FC were all in action for their various African competition respectively.
Dreams FC will host Nations FC whereas Medeama SC will welcome Accra Lions home.
