Ousmane Dembélé has been honoured with a major individual award after playing a pivotal role in a historic season for Paris Saint-Germain.
The French winger helped PSG win the Coupe de France, secure their 13th Ligue 1 title, and lift their first-ever UEFA Champions League trophy, before finishing runners-up at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™.
Dembélé received the award from FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the FIFA Celebration 2025 Dinner in Doha, Qatar, ahead of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Qatar 2025™ final, where PSG are scheduled to face CR Flamengo.
Speaking after the presentation, the 28-year-old paid tribute to his teammates and the club.
“First of all, I’d like to thank all my team-mates. It turns out hard work pays off. It has been a fantastic year for me, both individually and as a team,” he said.
He also expressed appreciation to his family and the leadership of Paris Saint-Germain.
“I’d also like to thank my family, who have always been there for me; Paris Saint-Germain, with whom I’ve had a fantastic year; the President, his staff, and everyone who works at the club, as well as Luís Campos,” Dembélé added.
The awards were determined through an equally weighted voting process involving fans, national team captains and coaches, as well as media representatives.
