Football in Ghana has been on the decline as most stakeholders are hoping to find solutions to that effect.

However, one major concern that has been raised is the investment of the Government in our football. Most people have placed a call to the government to help with the investment policy of football.

The member of Parliament of Okiakwei Central Constituency Hon. Patrick Yaw Boamah believes the old players can also take up the task and invest in Ghana football.

According to him, investing in football is not only the sole responsibility of the Government.

” If you look at the Senegalese team, it should tell you that some of the old players have put monies into academies. What are our former national stars doing in Ghana?

Everybody is saying the Government must contribute, how much can the Government put into football?” – he said.
