It was matchday 19 of the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League and all eyes were set on the defending Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko as they welcomed Bechem United to their home grounds.

The Porcupine Warriors who have failed to grab all three points in two previous games in the league had to respond quickly after a shock exit from the MTN FA Cup by league leaders Aduana Stars.

Enock Morrison with the early goal in the 21st minute making the home team comfortable in the first department of the game and eventually moving into the dressing room with their noses upfront.

The second half saw the Dominance of the Hunters as they were hoping to equalize and eventually get a comeback while they seek to close the gap between the Ogya Boys. But the Porcupine Warrior’s defence looked very compact as they managed to grab all three points in front of their supporters, moving them to the second spot with 31 points.

Elsewhere at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park was the encounter between League leaders Aduana Stars and Kumasi-based club, Kumasi King Faisal, as the Insha Allah boys held down the Ogya Boys as they both shared honours after 90 minutes of the stipulated time, extending their dominance at home.

Ogya Boys are still looking confident as they continue to enjoy their stay at the top of the League with 36 points.

The match continues in Accra, as all eyes switch to the Gamashie derby as Accra Hearts of Oak battles it out with Accra Great Olympics.
