The Black Meteors of Ghana was humiliated yesterday as they faced the Atlas Lion of Morocco in the ongoing Total Energies U-23 African Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.

With Morocco trashing Ghana by 5 goals to 1 as they have secured qualification from the group stage, the Black Meteors will have to go all out to grab a win over Guinea on Friday.

Head Coach of the Black Meteors Coach Ibrahim Tanko has revealed the reason behind the abysmal performance of his lads. According to Tanko, his men did not have enough rest which resulted in them not being able to match the Moroccans.

“The Moroccans had two days more rest than us. As we see in the Guinea game against Congo; Guinea we’re faster because they had more rest. That’s the reason we didn’t play well”- he said.
