Accra-based club Accra Hearts of Oak’s 2022/2023 Season has not been the best, as the team is, however, struggling to get its way back to the top four of the Betpawa Premier League.

After the sacking of head coach Slavko Matic and winning the President Cup from rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the Phobians have however had a poor run of games which has caused a low turnout at match venues.

Result to that board member of the club Alhaji Akambi has accused the media as the source of all the problems facing the club.

According to him, the media are responsible for the bad state of the club and eventually do not paint a clear picture to the public.

“The media are responsible for the bad state of Accra Hearts of Oak. They allow anybody to spew rubbish, lies, and unsubstantiated stories about the club on the airwaves,” Akambi told Accra-based Onua FM.

Akambi further threatened to take legal action against anybody who spoke ill of the club without any facts.

“We will start taking action against anybody who sits on air to spew lies about the Accra Hearts of Oak,” he said.

Hearts of Oak will host Real Tamale United in the matchday 33 games on Sunday before wrapping up their campaign with an away game against Berekum Chelsea.
