The Betpawa Premier League has received Soo much backlash on its performance as compared to other leagues in Africa and Europe.
However, most people believe if we pay maximum attention and give them special treatment as we do to other leagues, it will thrive.
However, the head coach of the Black Stars Chris Hughton is also a fan of the local league as he is seen on numerous occasions, monitoring the Premier League which even resulted in the late calling of Bechem United forward Hafiz Konkoni.

He made these statements yesterday when he meet the press ahead of this weekend’s clash between Madagascar.
“ The level of our league is good. But the league loses a lot of players, and when a league loses players and brings in younger players it’s difficult to compare it to the European League but in all they showcase good football.”
