       Christmas came late for football fans after 2 matches scheduled to be played on Saturday 25th of December 2021 was cancelled as a result of covid-19.

       Boxing Day however did not disappoint. 22 goals in the first 4 matches was the perfect gift for the festive season. A nine goal thriller between Manchester City and Leicester ending in a 6-3 victory to the defending Champions. After scoring 4 goals in 25 minutes, Brenden Roger’s side determined and persistent leveled up to a 4-3 score but then gave away 2 more goals to put the match beyond the Foxes.

      A 3-2 defeat to Southampton dampened the Hammer’s chance of making the top four.         

    Spurs played Crystal Palace after

A 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool a few days ago, registered a victory at the White Hart Lane. Goals from Son Heung Min, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane pushed them to 5th few points behind rivals but with games in hand.

        Equally their North London rivals continued their impressive form by beating Norwich City 5 goals without response. Again, the young guns of the Gunners shined. 2 goals from Bukayo Saka, one from Tierney, Lacazette and another from the bench to score moment for Emile Smith Rowe to take his tally to 8goals.

        Boxing Day is not yet done, with two more games to come, goals would most definitely not be scarce.
