It was the battle of the titans between Accra-based club Accra Hearts of Oak and defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the second round of games of the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier league at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The game which saw most football lovers using that as a conversation starter was delayed as preparation to start was still not completed.
However, the game saw an intensive first half with both teams catching up in a nasty scene in the early minutes of the first department of the game.
The referee’s signal for the close of the first half still had both teams going into the dressing room with no goal to show off.
The second half started on a cool note as the visitors dictated the pace of the game.
A sweet free kick from Linda which rightly landed on Konadu Yiadom was enough to separate both teams in the early hours of the second half.
While attempts from the Porcupine Warriors to come back into the game proved negative.
The final whistle from the referee gave much relief to the home fans
It was all joyful as the supporters of the winning side were pleased with the performance of the team.
