It was the much-anticipated game of the day as all eyes were geared towards Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
As Bibiani Goldstars welcomed Kumasi-based club Kumasi Asante Kotoko to their first-ever home game.
With Goldstars losing painfully to Berekum Chelsea last weekend and very optimistic about beating the Porcupine Warriors to boost their season, much was invested into this game as the home fans were all over Dun’s Park.
With the game starting with both teams showing off their great skills, the home team came into the party after a massive cheer from the crowd giving them a little control over the game.
A disallowed goal from the home team in the first 15 minutes of action gave relief to the visitors as they went into the break even.
The second half took a different twist as we saw three goals. Prince Owusu Kwabena scored for the home team 11 minutes into the second half.
In this game, the h, om som eanmeansomething to cheer up for as the crowd continued to push their noise massively. Sheriff Mohammed however gave the visitors the equalizer 4 minutes of going behind.
The game however took another shift as the home team began to take charge of the game as they continued to knock on the door to get the winner.
Eric Bosomtwi however made that a reality after bagging his first goal for Goldstars seconds after Sheriff’s goal.
The home team however guided their lead as they managed to get their first-ever win over Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the Betpawa Premier League.
Bibiani however catapults themselves from the bottom of the league to the 7th spot.
The action continues tomorrow in Accra as Accra Hearts of Oak will welcome Nsoatreman FC, Aduana Stars log horns with defending Champions Medeama SC, and Dreams FC visits Bechem United among others.
