Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Emmanuel Nettey to sign for Iraqi division 1 club, Duhok SC for free.
The 2020/21 Ghana premier league winner who joined the Phobians in 2019 from Inter Allies refused to extend his elapsed contract with the former due to lack of playing time.
The 30-year-old robust midfielder played an integral role in Accra Hearts of oak’s league title and MTN FA cup triumph in the 2020/21 season as well as the 2021/22 CAF club competitions disappointment.
The Nungua based midfielder is the second player to leave the Phobians in a week after Congolese import Raddy Ovouka.
Meanwhile, Accra Hearts has released a statement on Raddy Ovouka’s departure to Mexico and it read:
” The Congolese defender remains a player of Hearts of Oak until New Mexico exercises the right to buy him permanently. We wish him well with his new club.’
