The Porcupine Warriors left the shores of the country on Wednesday ahead of their CAF Champions League first leg over the weekend
Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko departed the country Wednesday morning en route to Mauritania for the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round against FC Nouadhibou on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors left with a 21-man squad including goalkeeper Razak Abalora who recovered from Coronavirus disease earlier this week.
Midfielder Emmanuel Gyamfi will lead the squad. However, defender Habib Mohammed and winger Augustine Okrah were not part of the squad due to various reasons.
In-form striker Kwame Poku is expected to continue his impressive run with Kotoko after joining from Nkoranza Warriors as he will be looking to score his third goal in a row.

The contingent including the medical team and technical team as well as management members and media left with one of Ghana’s airforce planes.
