Coach Aboubakar Ouattara says he is satisfied with the outcome of Sunday’s goalless draw against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, insisting that his team remains firmly in the race for top honours.
Speaking after the tense encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium, Ouattara admitted the result was fair but expressed frustration over his side’s failure to convert their chances.
“I’ll take the draw. We came to win, but it’s a fair result. I learned a lot from this game and will discuss it with the boys,” he said. “What didn’t work was our inability to score.”
The Phobians created several openings, particularly in the second half, but lacked the clinical edge needed to break down Kotoko’s defence. The result leaves Hearts in sixth place on the league table.
Despite trailing the leaders, Ouattara remains optimistic that his team can still achieve something meaningful this season.
“The league will be tough, but we’ll keep fighting — top four, top two, or even the title. We’re not giving up,” he declared.
