Ghana representative Dreams FC is set to host Sierra Leon-based club FC Kallon in the second stage of the CAF Confederations Cup preliminary playoffs qualifiers.

With Dreams FC eliminating Guinea Side Milo FC in the first round whereas FC Kallon going past Douanes Niamey will hope to battle it all out for the next stage of the competition.

Now, Dreams FC stand on the precipice of advancing to the competition’s group stage, but their journey hinges on prevailing against FC Kallon, a side propelled into this round due to the withdrawal of AS Douanes amid political turmoil in Niger.

With Dreams FC Karim Zito is very optimistic his side will go through to the group stages of the competition.

“This is a two-sided game because we are all a step closer to the group stage and each team would like to qualify, but for us, our objective is to make sure that we win and qualify”- he said ahead of the match.

He later added that his team hasn’t monitored their training (FC Kallon), due to a clash of training activities.

“I was not at their training yesterday because we also had our training around that same time but I had someone there who came back with the necessary information so I can say that I know their style of play but we have also prepared very well,” admitted Zito.

The match comes off today at the Accra Sports Stadium at 4 pm.
