2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League champions Medeama SC are set to begin their African Campaign against Nigeria side Remo Stars FC in the preliminary playoffs qualifiers of the CAF Champions League.
With the Nigerian side arriving in Ghana yesterday, the President of the club Honorable Kunle Soname speaking ahead of their game against Medeama SC revealed that they are not afraid of the yellow and Mauve men. According to Hon. Soname, they only know two clubs in Ghana, that’s Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko based on what they have done in Africa over the years but with that of Medeama SC, it’s a different narrative altogether, he only knows them as league winners in Ghana.
“We only know of Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko because of their great exploits in Africa in the past years, however, we won’t underestimate them”- he said.
Remo Star’s club president further stated that their mission in Ghana is that they’re coming here to play their normal game and get good results ahead of the second leg in Nigeria.
And from the look of things Remo will playing a water-tight defense tomorrow at the Cape Coast Stadium, they plan to frustrate Medeama and get a draw.
