One of the major problems of Chelsea football club this season is the rate of injury cases. However, the Blues are currently struggling to grab a European football slot next season, interim manager for Chelsea, Frank Lampard has disclosed the absence of Mason Mount and Recce James as the end of the season gets closer.
“Reece James is unavailable, probably for the season. Mason has the same, potential for the last game of the season. Kai is struggling a little bit with a knee, but should be training by the end of the week.”- he said.
He further gave details on the injury state of the two youngsters.
“Reece had a hamstring injury. Mason has been carrying this pelvic injury for quite a while, so he’s been trying, but we’ve got to a stage where he will have minor surgery. Probably a four-week recovery.”
