It was matchday four of the Total African Cup of Nations qualifiers as four times champions Ghana visited the Palancas of Angola at the Estadio on 11 de November. The match saw the home team start on a good note as they dictated the pace of the game from the blast of the whistle.

With both teams going into the break without a goal, the home fans were hopeful of grabbing all three points as the away team (Blackstars) did not register a shot on target in the first department of the game.

The second was underway as the home team took the early lead from the spot by Lucas Joao in the 51st minute as they continued to dictate the game.

A quick two substitution from Head coach Chris Hughton saw Joseph Paintsil and Osman Bukari coming into the game, with Osman Bukari bringing Ghana back into the game just a minute of action stole Ghana the points as they sit on top of group E with 8 points.

With Ghana enjoying the success of substitute players, most Ghanaians praised Chris Hughton and his technical team for his good read of the game.
