It was the first game of Chris Hughton in charge as the head coach of the Blackstars.
With most Ghanaians looking up to the system and game plan of the new gaffer, a shocking event was the dropping of the captain of the side, Andrew Dede Ayew against Angola yesterday which most fans were wondering why he was snub after being seen warming up but eventually, his name was not even on the matchday squad.
Chris Hughton however broke the silence on the reason for leaving out the skipper of the game yesterday.
“As a head coach, you have to make difficult decisions. You know the quality that André possesses, but you also know the quality of the rest of the squad,” he told the press.
Chris believes that there is no meaning in this, and the team still needs the presence of Dede.
