It’s the race for the 14th UEFA Champions League Title for Carlo Ancelotti’s side Real Madrid as they visit five times Champions Liverpool at Anfield. A repeat of the 2017/2018 and 2021/2022 UEFA Champions League finals.

However, Liverpool who has had a poor run of form in the English Premier League is hoping to fight for the UCL title as the major trophy for the Red, while the Los Blancos boys are hoping to continue their dominance over Liverpool in Europe.

Real Madrid topped Group F with 13 points, just a point above RB Leipzig hoping to continue its dominance in Europe whereas Liverpool placed second in Group A with 15 points, the same as Napoli with a goal difference of three.

Despite the Reds’ poor season by their own exceptionally high standards, a fiery Anfield atmosphere on a European night will still be expected. Although they’ve lost only one of their last 23 home games winning 16 and drawing 6 times.

Liverpool probably couldn’t have handpicked a tougher opponent to extend that record against than Madrid, especially as Klopp’s side has failed to get the better of their Spanish counterparts in each of the last six games with a Draw and 5 Loses.

Besides their impressive form, Los Blancos will feel they’ll still be required to up their game, having won only once in their last seven UCL visits to England with 2 Draws and 4 Loses. A potentially hostile welcome awaits manager Carlo Ancelotti too, especially since he guided Liverpool’s city rivals Everton to a 2-0 win on his last visit to Anfield, meaning he’s lost only twice in his last 11 managerial meetings with the Reds with a record of 6 Wins and 3 Loses.
