On Monday 20th February 2023, the ministry of youth and sports was led by Deputy Minister for youth and sports, Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie led a delegation of officials from the ministry to pay a visit to the ailing former head coach of the Black Starlite Mr Sellas Tetteh at his residence in Accra.
The purpose of the visit was to monitor the health condition of the former head coach and also show their support by donating some cash. An amount of (GH 50,000) on behalf of the President, H.E Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo.
According to the Deputy Minister, the visit was extremely important considering the role and contribution the former coach had played in the development of football in Ghana.
He added that this won’t be a one-time show-up, but there will be frequent visitors to Me Sellas.
Speaking on behalf of the coach, Mr Michael Lassey Teivi, a brother to the coach, expressed his gratitude to H.E. the President for the kind gesture and promised to make good use of the amount donated.
