Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club are happy with the response they have received from the Match review panel following their official complaint they made about the poor officiating of the referee and his assistant in the Match Week 6 game against City rivals King Faisal.

Referee Julien Nunoo and Roland Addy, the center referee and the assistant referee respectively were given a 4-match ban each after the review panel sat on the complaint.

In that match Kotoko we’re denied a clean goal on the premise of it being an offside and another incident that made the club make an official complaint to the panel.

In the review process, the referee was asked to justify why it was to them an offside because they were close to the scene but unfortunately they couldn’t and that led to the punishment they warranted.

Kotoko took to their social media to give their response on the verdict. This is what the club said officially

In response to our complaint to the Ghana Football Association’s Match Review Panel, Referee Julien Nunoo and Assistant Referee Roland Addy have been handed a 4-match ban each for their under-par performances in our matchday-6 defeat to city rivals, King Faisal.

Will this cause some enmity between the referees and the club?
