Defending Afcon champions have defeated the Black Stars of Ghana in a 3-0 victory in a pre-tournament friendly at the Education City Stadium at Al Rayyan in Qatar where the Black Stars are currently camping.
Adam Ounas opened the score sheet for the dessert warriors in the first half.
The Arab champions dominated the game but Black Stars Fatawu Issahaku had a brilliant shot to the Algerian side where Algeria goalkeeper Rais M’Bolhi made a good save.
Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah added their own goal to the scoreline with 10 minutes left in the game.
Islam Slimani ended the game with the 3rd goal for the Arab champions.
The Algerians are now unbeaten in 40 games. They will play Sierra Leone in group E in their Afcon opener on Tuesday.
The Black Stars will face Morroco in group C on Sunday 10th January 2022.
