Dreams FC gaffer, Vladislav Viric has justified Philimon Baffour’s inclusion in Black Stars 30 man provisional Afcon squad.
Baffour has been vilified by dozen of football loving Ghanaians over his consistent national team call up’s with some attributing his consistent inclusion to the senior national team to his affiliation to the GFA President, Kurt Okraku.
Earlier today, Coach Milovan Rajevac made a blunt statement that he is not under any influence or pressure in his player call ups to the Black Stars.
In a post-match presser after Dreams FC 3-2 defeat to King Faisal at the Baba Yara sports stadium, Coach Vladislav Viric said “I have been training Philimon Baffour as Dreams FC coach and I know his quality as a player so he deserves an opportunity in the Black Stars”.
Milovan Rajevac named his 30 man provisional squad ahead of the AFCON 2021 in Cameroon, early January. The squad is expected to be trimmed to 28 on or before December 31 per CAF regulations.
Ghana are expected to play a yet to named club side on Tuesday, December 28, before taking on one of the Africa Cup of Nations qualified teams on Friday, January 1, 2022 in another friendly.
The team will wrap up their test matches against African Champions Algeria on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
