The Chief Executive Officer of Kumasi-based club Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah claims, Kotoko also believes in the nurturing of young talents. According to Nana Yaw, you do not understand football if you say Kotoko is not for young players.
“Many people are following football but don’t understand the game. You will be hearing that Kotoko is not for young players, How old is Mbappe? How old is Jude Bellingham? How old was Owen when he started? I held a meeting with the senior players one day and I was shocked because these players from 1 to 11 can represent an African National team”- he said.
He believes that the materials at the disposal of Kotoko today, can form a national team for an African country.
