The road to the semi finals has not been an easy one. The MTN Womens FA cup semi finals will see teams such as the defending champions of the FA Cup Hasaacas ladies, Ampem Darkoa ladies, Army ladies and Ashtown ladies.
The Sekondi ownera of womens football travelled all the way to kumasi to face off the only womens academy in the region (Kumasi Sports Academy),while this was a much anticipated match,the 90 minutes results left every in awe as the champions couldn’t thrash the kumasi based club. The game went into penalties and they rather won 3-2 to qualify to the next stage.
Ampem Darkoa travelled further south to the capital to the home of Police ladies and still won with 2 goals to nil.
The massive demolishing occured at Anlo when they got beaten mercilessly by Army ladies on a 7 goal spree of which Anlo ladies couldnt pull any back.
Ashtown ladies struggling to make it in the top four of thr Northern zone league table honourably tips into the semifinals by wining against Fosu ladies in a game that ended 1-3 in their favour.
The road to the semis has been paved already and all four teams know who their next opponent is, Ampem Darkoa will face Army ladies while Hasaacas take on Ashtown ladies. Dates for these games will be communicated to the public by the Ghana Football association in due time.
