The head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton has disclosed his desire to see Ghanaians happy in supporting the team. According to the Blackstars gaffer, he believes the team will get the necessary support if they do their best which will eventually pull the support they need from the ordinary Ghanaians.
” The support here is not different from anywhere, the supporters want to see a team that is winning, they want to see a team that’s giving all for the fans. So I understand the difference between winning and losing, what we can do is to do our best and to make the supporters happy”.
He added that it’s his responsibility as the head coach to ensure that.
“It’s my responsibility to accept that, the supporters want to see the team winning and as long as I see a team that is working hard for the supporters, I think they will be happy”.
However, Ghana’s next assignment is against Angola on Monday in the hope to grab a qualification spot for the 2024 AFCON in Ivory Coast.
