The development of talents in the country has been a great task as many individuals do not have laid down procedures in ensuring that becomes a reality but again the problems go down to the execution.
Bank roller and President of the Ghanaian-based club, Bechem United Kingsley Owusu Achau have also advocated the need to have a long-term successful plan for the locally based players.
According to Mr Achau, he believes we have the needed resources and materials which will have a good impact on the locally based players and we shouldn’t wait for the players to get to the top whereas we will have to chase them for our service.
“God being so good, we have Chris Hughton, Didi Dramani, and George Boateng as coaches for the national team. I know Boateng is a development coach in the UK who can teach you all the necessary things you need to know in the football circle, so what is stopping us from maintaining a local team at Prampram so the coaches teach the players all the technique when they leave the country, they become players whom we chase to play for us”- he said.
He added that our local players lack some petty skills and techniques which those outside our continent sought to have an advantage over us.
“Our local players lack some petty skills and techniques, that’s why we see them not to be too good. But when they can travel outside the country and can find their feet and are being taught the skills they were lacking, you realize they become very good and very technical when they are playing. Whether we like it or not, the whites are ahead of us so we have to learn from them” he added
