Bafana Bafana coach, Hugo Broos has expressed his displeasure on some decisions taken by Senegalese referee, Maguette Ndiaye in the Group G decider at the Cape Coast sports stadium.
The 2017 AFCON winner was addressing a group of South African journalists in a presser and he said “After 15 minutes, I said to my two assistants, forget it Ghana will win this game”
“In my career, I have had those games when you think the referee is against you because you are emotional and nervous. After the game, you have to be honest and say you didn’t see how it was that the referee also made decisions against your opponent”
“But after the game, I was even much convinced that he was against us(South Africa), that we couldn’t win this game”
The 69-year-old reiterated that he hope their complaint will be received and at least replay the game.
South Africa Football Association has filed a protest to CAF and FIFA for an alleged dubious penalty awarded to Ghana in a world cup qualifying game at Cape Coast sports stadium pending a ruling.
