It’s been five days since Christian Atsu got under the rubble after an earthquake in Turkey. The Ghanaian international, who played for Newcastle in five seasons including a one-year loan spell before joining Saudi Arabia side Al-Raed, has gotten a lot of people showing interest and prayers, all in quest of finding him.
Head coach of Newcastle United Eddie Howe has also thrown in his support in quest of finding the Ghanaian International.
In a press conference today ahead of their game against Bournemouth on Saturday he expressed concern for the former winger of the club.
“We hope for some good news, we hope he’s OK, but we’re concerned for him and his welfare this week. It’s been difficult because there have been conflicting stories coming out about his whereabouts, so it’s very tough. I can’t imagine how his family are feeling’
‘But from the bottom of our hearts, we wish him well and hope there’s a positive ending’ he added.
However, we all hope, that Atsu will be found safe and sound.
