The Ghana Football Association General Secretary, Lawyer Prosper Harrison Addo denies allegations of the GFA influencing Blackstar’s selections.
According to him, they can only question why the coach decides on a certain player but does not impose players on the coach.
“ As an FA when the list is given to us by the coach, we stand to reason that we may ask one or two questions so that we appraise ourselves, so the coach then discuss this with the FA, that same manner the coach will discuss why he called a player to the media, which for sure the media will ask questions, and that doesn’t mean the media is posing a player on the coach, in the same manner, we the committee of the FA ask questions to find things as to why this player was called and doesn’t mean we at the FA will pose questions to the coach.” He said
He added that the demand fear idea about the list “ There is no way the FA President will influence the selection, and this is not a new thing, the coach brings his list then if there is a question they will ask for the coach explain, but if there is none too fine because there are various reasons why a coach will call a player and all association goes through that, we can’t just collect the list and post without having any idea about the players in, how then do we answer questions if been asked by the media”
