Ahead of the Ghana Football Association general election that is scheduled for the 15th of October, 2023 in Tamale, Mr. George Afriyie has been disqualified after failing to reach the required mandate by the Electoral Committee.
Black Stars Team manager Ameenu Shadow has issued blame to those who endorsed Mr. Afriyie in his quest to contest for the office of the president. He said the needed checks were not done which has made him (George) fall short of the required task.
” Unfortunately in my opinion, per the ruling which has been layer down by the people running the procedures for him, using myself as an example, I was the one in charge of ensuring the forms of Mr. Kurt E. S Okraku, I made sure everything was well endorsed. After I was done with my work, I appeared in front of a panel for them to vet the process, to make sure each individual who was on Kurt’s form. where asked agent questions to ensure they are all qualified” he said.
