The draw for the Total Energies African Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire was done yesterday as all 24 countries found their representative teams ahead of the tournament.
Captain of defending Champions Senegal, Sadio Mane believes that this will be the toughest African Cup of Nations tournament in the history of the tournament, he said after the draw.
“There are no more small teams in Africa. This will be the toughest AFCON in history.” – he said.
He added that their group is very difficult. Senegal was paired in Group C alongside Cameroon, Guinea, and The Gambia.
“I think it’s a very difficult group. I’m half Gambian and Guinean. My parents are from Guinea, and Cameroon is there, so it will be quite a complicated group. We will do everything must do to pass the first round and implement all our means.”- he added.
