All set for the Black Stars of Ghana’s 23rd African Cup of Nations tournament in Cote D’Ivoire. They were paired in Group B with seven times Champions Egypt alongside Cape Verde and Mozambique.
Ahead of the tournament, the head coach of the team Chris Hughton believes there is no pressure on the team but they will do their best to ensure they grab the best.
“There’s no pressure on the team, we know the past performance of the team in the AFCON and we are much aware of the expectation from Ghanaians. We are looking forward to these exciting games”- he said.
He later added the team will however prepare adequately ahead of the game.
“It’s a tough opposition and we must prepare well. Meeting the best teams in Africa, playing with Egypt, and two teams I don’t know much about, we will do the best we can. We have to look at what Comoros did in the last tournament and learn from it. We know Ghanaians are having more expectations ” he added.
