On Friday, March 3rd,2023, the Head Coach of Accra-based club, Accra Hearts of Oak, Slavko Matic was prevented by some fans from training with his club after a poor run of games at home, this incident caused the Serbian coach to report the incident to the Police.
These actions from some supporters prevented the Phobians Gaffer from being in the dugout on Sunday, against rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, which saw assistant Coach David Oclu handling the team to victory.
After several considerations, the Ghana Police Service has asked Accra Hearts of Oak’s Serbian coach Slavko Matic to stay away from the club to avoid a possible confrontation with the fans.
This security advice however provided no timelines as to when the coach could return.
Slavko Matic remains the head coach of the Phibians while some fans are hoping management will officially part ways with the Serbian tactician.
