Football in Ghana is on the decline as many Ghanaians have lost interest in the game.
However, most stakeholders and administrators have registered their concern as to why the a constant decline of football in Ghana.
Club Administrator and former vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie has made a revelation to the factors that have influenced the lack of interest in football in Ghana.
In an interview with the Asempa Sports team, he said we need to instil discipline in our games.
‘We need to instil discipline. Sports betting is affecting us. All over the world sports betting is ongoing but we need to protect our project’. He said.
He added that the Ghana Football Association led by H.E Kurt E.S OKraku should put up a constant effort in ensuring that the game yields its maximum fruits.
The GFA must ensure their integrity in the league. That is where the GFA has a responsibility by protecting the integrity of the game.
