While most of the attention has been focused on the race for the Golden Boot, the race for the Golden Gloves has been shaping up pretty well. Having dominated the league for the past three seasons Manchester City’s Ederson and Liverpool’s Alisson Becker are both in competition for the award. A few new goalkeepers are also putting up a good fight to stay on track to possibly winning it.

Having won the award in two consecutive seasons and holder of the award currently, Manchester City’s Ederson is on course to winning it again for the third time. The Brazilian keeper has racked up 14 clean sheets in the campaign so far, 2 more than next in contention AlissonBecker. With a robust defense in Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte, more clean sheets are due but for now, he leads the table in the race with 14.

2018/2019 winner Alisson is next in line to possibly win the award over Ederson. The Liverpool goalkeeper has 12 clean sheets so far failing to add up to his tally, after Norwich took the lead in yesterday’s encounter. With 13 more matches to go and just a difference of 2, the Brazilian isn’t out just yet.

Goalkeepers in the English Premier League is Arsenal’s goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. A signing that raised plenty of questions and eyebrows, the English goalkeeper is proving every doubter wrong. An incredible start to his career at Arsenal, having played 1800 minutes, much shorter minutes compared to the top 2, the Englishman has 11 clean sheets to his name. Close to 12 but a late goal by Brentford keeps he rooted in 3rd.

Eduard Mendy and José Sa are tied up in 4th with 9 clean sheets,Hugo Lloris on 8, Brighton’s Sanchez with 7 ,Nick Pope,Vicente Guaita and Emiliano Martinez all have 6 clean sheets to their names.
