Ethiopia Football Federation General Secretary, Bahiru Tilahun Limenih has pointed out that, Ethiopia would honour their world cup qualifying match against Ghana with all seriousness despite their ineligibility to make it to the 2022 mundial in Qatar.
The Walias are set to face Ghana Black Stars in their 5th world cup qualifying match on Thursday, November 11 2021 at Orlando stadium in South Africa due to political instability which has engulfed Ethiopia currently.
“We have already qualified for AFCON 2022 and as we speak now, Ethiopia is not in a good position to qualify for the world cup but our match against Ghana in the world cup qualifiers will serve as preparation to the AFCON and also we will play for pride,” He told Gtv sports+.
Ethiopia is sitting 3rd with 3 points while Ghana is 2nd with 9 points in Group G.
