Asante Kotoko head coach, Mariano Barreto has vilified his players for conceding a “nonsense” goal against West Africa football academy at Obuasi Len clay stadium.
The Portuguese tactician, speaking with Startimes after a levelled game with the academy boy’s said. “We played one team who came here to make the news to equalize, we start leading the game and we are playing well, in the last minute we take a “nonsense” goal because after the throw the player kicked in front of the defenders and we train these things a lot of times”.
“When this thing happens, it affects us. Second half with the changes we made and Wafa putting long balls and running, that is the mistakes of my team”.
“We tried to create more chances we didn’t score. I remember Taylor in front of the box has to make different decisions that are the moment of the game”.
“We have the same points with Hearts of oak, left with eight matches,we have to learn from what happens and prepare for the next match”.
Justus Torsutsey late strike in the first half ended the match in a stalemate after Abdul Ganiu’s early penalty goal for the host.
