The search for a second representative for Ghana for next year’s African competition. It’s the quarter-finals of the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup as Aduana Stars are hoping to move to the last four of the competition alongside Dreams FC.
The action begins today at the Theatre of Dreams, as Dream FC host the Accra-based club, Legon Cities as they battle out for a slot in the semifinals. With the Still Believers, the guys beat Division One side Liberty Professionals by 3 goals to nil while Legon Cities progressed to the last 8 through penalties after a 1-all draw against Volta Rangers.
On Saturday the actions continue as Real Tamale United clashes with Nsoatreman FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium as they push through for a place in the semis.
On Sunday, all eyes move to the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex as Kumasi-based club King Faisal welcomes Bono-based team Aduana Stars home. With the Insha Allah Boys’ Confidence after a massive performance under new head coach Ignatius yesterday, they will hope to use the opportunity to grab silverware as they also hope to chase the Betpawa Premier league as revealed by their new gaffer, while the Ogya Boys will hope to grab a double as their hope for the league and FA Cup is still on.
With Aduana Stars pushing Kumasi Asante Kotoko away, they will hope to push another Kumasi-based club out whereas King Faisal managed a victory over steadfast FC.
Elsewhere, Skyy FC faces Ebusua Dwarfs at the ST. Martins Park on Sunday.
