With both teams winning their opening fixtures (against Guinea and Congo respectively), a chance to progress to the next stage of the competition.
With Guinea grabbing their first win in the competition early today all hopes were on the Black Meteors as Ghanaians were hoping to finalize their qualification from the group stage campaign.
The host nation however began the game on a high note as the Black Meteors fell behind by 2 goals in the first 15 minutes of the game. Eventually making the host nation takes total charge of the game.
Morocco however added up to their tally as they managed to get three past their opponent while they pulled one back in the first half. An attempt from the Black Meteors to double their tally was chopped off after the intervention of the video assistant referee (VAR), But they went into the break on a high note.
The second half became a nightmare for the Meteors as they increased their tally to 6 making it difficult for the Black Meteors for the night but eventually was cancelled out by VAR.
However, the Meteors have a chance to go past the group stage as they will host Guinea on Thursday they hope to fight for a spot in the last 4 of the competition and hopefully grab a spot in next year’s Olympic games in Paris after missing out of the tournament since 2004.
