48 hours after the suspension of France-based club, Paris Saint Germain forward Lionel Messi who missed training for an unauthorized trip to Saudi Arabia on Monday, the decision of the Argentine’s Captain to miss training didn’t sit well with most fans of the club. However, the 35-year-old player has rendered an apology to his team and fans.
“I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always. I had this trip organized and I couldn’t cancel it. I had already cancelled it before”.
“I apologize to my teammate and I’m waiting for what the club wants to do with me”- he said.
However, PSG has revealed that they won’t need the services of the forward next season.
