MEDEAMA HUMILIATE HEARTS TO GRAB TOP SPOT, DREAMS FC SECURE WIN OVER BEREKUM CHELSEA

Matchday 31 of the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League competition was under as most teams were hoping to grab an advantage for the top spot and top four after league leaders Aduana Stars slipped off after a loss to Accra Lions yesternight.

The action continued today as second-placed team Medeama SC visited Accra-based club Accra Hearts of Oak at home as they were hoping to overtake Aduana Stars at the top spot since matchday 7 of the league.

With the Phobians hoping to grab a win after a shock defeat to FC Samatex on matchday 30, their hope was cut short after a humiliating performance at home which denied them again entry to the top four spots.

The game started well for the visiting team as they controlled the game till the blast of the whistle.

A six-goal thriller game saw the Phobians recording their biggest defeat in the 2022/2023 season in Infront of their fans. After 90 minutes of action, Medeama SC grabbed all three points after a 5-1 victory over the Phobians as they overtake Aduana Stars for the first spot of the league log ( The first case since matchday 7).

Elsewhere at the Dawu Park, was MTN FA Cup finalist Dreams FC hosting Berekum Chelsea who was hoping to close the gap in the title race were stopped after their 2-0 loss to Dreams FC away from home.

The Still Believers Men hoping to go far away from the relegation zone were boosted after gaining the ticket to the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup Finals as they also managed to grab all three points at home from the Blues.

The action however continues as Kotoku Royals set to host defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko
