With Medeama SC fighting to grab their first-ever Premier League title, Hearts of Oak was hoping to escape relegation whereas Asante Kotoko was hoping to grab a good spot in the top 4.
However, all eyes were set on Akon Park as Medeama SC were in action against Tamale-based club Tamale City as they were in contention for the league title.
