Asante Kotoko CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah has been ordered to appear before the Queen mother of Asante Kingdom for allegedly invoking a “life-threatening” curse on former youth team coach George Asare.
This situation arrived after George Asare was asked to represent Asante Kotoko as scout together with Stephen Manu “9090” because the former’s position as youth team coach is now occupied by Coach Johnson Smith and Abdulai Gazzelle
According to the former Asante Kotoko player, George Asare, he demanded his salary from Nana Yaw Amponsah in a meeting at Coach Kwesi Appiah’s hotel because he has not been paid since November 2020. The CEO directed him to the Club’s board chairman Dr Kwame Kyei for his salary because he employed him.
Angry George Asare left the meeting to avoid any brawl with the CEO.
George Asare revealing what transpired at the meeting added “After l left the meeting, Richard Asare told me that Nana Yaw Amponsah has cursed me by pouring water into a sink after incantation while mentioning my name”
” The curse was that I won’t be successful in my career as a coach with any team. I wasn’t there but that is why Richard Manu told me”.
He further stated.
The former GFA presidential aspirant is expected to appear before the Queen mother of Asante Kingdom at Manhyia palace today on the alleged life-threatening curse.
