Head coach, Goran Barjaktarevic has been sacked by Legon cities FC after just two games in charge of the 2020/21 Ghana premier league.

The reason behind the immediate axe of the Bosnian coach not yet known by the Legon based club but the 3-0 humiliation to regional neighbours, Accra Great Olympics might be the key factor behind the decision to axe the expatriate as head coach of Legon Cities FC.

Prior to the 3-0 defeat to Accra Great Olympics, Legon cities had endured a point against Berekum Chelsea at the Accra sports stadium.

Legon Cities FC dominated the transfer market with marquee inclusions like all-time Ghana top scorer, Africa top scorer for the World cup and Black stars general captain “Baby Jet” Asamoah Gyan, former Aduana stars captain Elvis Opoku, former Liberty professionals captain Michael Ampadu, Jonah Attuquaye, Baba Mahama, Nicholas Gyan, young prospect Matthew Anim Cudjoe etc.
With such huge investments on player transfers, expectations were high for Legon Cities FC to make a positive impact this season but unfortunately has got a poor start.

The Bosnian manager took charge of the Legon based club at the start of 2019/20 truncated Ghana premier league and in all managed 17 Ghana premier league games, 3 wins, 8 draws and 6 losses.
