As reported a few weeks ago about the agreement between Mr Kwesi Appiah and the Sudanese Football Federation in his agreement to be the head coach of the senior national team.

Appiah had to clear out some issues regarding his role as the technical director of Kumasi-based club Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

As appointed by His Royal Majesty Otumfou Nana Osei Tutu II two months ago and also vying for the position as an Exco member of the Ghana Football Association on the ticket of the club, it was honourable and prudent that Mr Appiah had to address this pending issues before giving the green light for the job.

Earlier today, Kwesi Appiah met with His Royal Majesty Otumfou Nana Osei Tutu II and per discussion has been granted permission to pick up the role of the head coach of the Sudan national team, however, he will remain as the technical director of the club and run for the office of Exco member for the Ghana Football Association in the upcoming general election congress.
