Matchday 30 of the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League season was on as most league centres were engaged with some interesting fixtures.

Starting in Kumasi, Was defending champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko hosting Bibiani Goldstars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

With the Porcupine being winless since matchday 27 were hoping to grab a win over their visitors Bibiani Goldstars.
The home team started well, which got them the early lead by Solomon Sarfo Taylor in the 6th minute and guided the Porcupine Warriors very well into the game. The home team were hoping to seal all three in the last minute of the game, however, former Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh’s last-minute strike cancelled the lead of the home team as they both grabbed a point home.

Also in Nsenkyire, was a battle of 4 goals as Accra based club, Accra Hearts of Oak was held down by new babies FC Samatex 1996. With the Phobians coming into the game after a win over King Faisal last weekend, a search to continue their winning streak was curtailed as they managed to grab a point away from home. The game which saw the Phobians going behind just 4 minutes into the game, gave them some awareness as they managed to come back into the game 3 minutes before the break.

They eventually took over in the second half as they looked more confident but were denied by Emmanuel Kayekah in the dying embers of the game, as both teams had to deal with a point to their credit.

Elsewhere in Sogakope, Was Accra Great Olympics who were in action as they scored 2 past new babies Kotoku Royals as they hope to escape relegation.

The action continues tomorrow, as league leaders Aduana Stars will host Karela United whereas Medeama SC will welcome Becehem United to Akon Park.
