Matchday 30 of 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League starts today as various league centres across the nations will be graced with some mouth-watering fixtures. With 5 games to end the season, all clubs are hoping to achieve their season target.

Starting today as the Tamale-based club, Tamale City will host Kumasi-based club King Faisal at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Tamale City grabbed 4 points from the two top clubs in the league, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their previous two games, whereas King Faisal lost to Accra Hearts last weekend. It’s the battle of the two-relegation threat, with both teams having the same number of points, a win for any of the sides will go a long way as they hope to escape the relegation threat, While the head coach of the Insha Allah Boys believing that his guys can win the league title if they win all matches.

This continues tomorrow as we will experience the majority of games, starting with defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the Porcupine Warriors will host Bibiani Goldstars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium as they hope to record a win since matchday 27. The Porcupine Warriors grabbed just a point against Tamale City, whereas Bibiani Goldstars recorded an impressive victory over Accra-based Club, Accra Great Olympics at home. With Goldstars hoping to continue their form as they push for the top 4, a win over the Porcupine Warriors will secure a comfortable place for them whereas the Porcupine will hope to turn things around as things don’t look great for them.

Elsewhere at the Nsekyere Sports Complex, new babies FC Samatex 1996 will welcome the Accra-based club, Accra Hearts of Oak as they fight for a maximum of three points. With the Phobians coming into this game after an impressive last-minute victory over Kumasi King Faisal, FC Samatex will hope to restart again as they lost against Bechem United. With the Phobians still chasing the league title, Samatex will hope to move up a bit as they seek to be near the top 4.

Also, at the West African Football Academy Park (WAFA Park), Accra Great Olympics will return to their adopted home ground as they seek luck over Kotoku Royals in the hope to escape the relegation battle.

The action ends on Monday, as we will witness two fixtures, one at Akon Park and the other at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park. Shifting our attention to the Nana Agyeman Badu I park, league leaders, Aduana Stars are determined to extend their stay at the top of the league since matchday 7 as they welcome Karela United. With the Ogya Boys grabbing a point from matchday 29, a win for them will foster their chances as they seek to grab their first premier league title under the belt of their head coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, whereas Karela United was on form against Berekum Chelsea after scoring 4 against the Blues. With the Blues still hoping to clear their head off any relegation-threatening issues, a win against the league leaders will send a clear message to the rest of their opponents.

At Akon Park, Medeama SC will face Bechem United, it’s the battle between the 3rd and 2nd position.
